John Murray


John was appointed to the board at the 2011 AGM. John’s children have played down at Easts over the last ten years hence John has been active with the Bays Junior Club. Being a non-ex Easts player John brings a refreshing approach and ideas to the board. John was elected President at the 2014 AGM after serving as Vice President of House since 2011.


Campbell Aitken


Campbell joined Easts in 2002 soon after arriving from the UK. Campbell has coached all grades from 4th and was joint Head Coach of First Grade in 2014.  Campbell has been a Board member as Vice President of Rugby since 2015 – he also set up our womens program in 2017 and still heads that up.  Finally Campbell is the Head Coach of the NSW Waratahs Womens side in Super W.


Clay Brodie


Clay was appointed to the board at the 2019 AGM. Clay started his time at Easts back in 2012 playing 7 years for Easts Wallaroos juniors. He went on to play close to 100 Grade Games with 70 of those being 1st Grade appearances. Away from Rugby Clay is the Director of Ray White Woollahra and has been a proud sponsor of the club for the past 5 years.


Nathan Lowe


Nathan was appointed to the board at the 2018 AGM. Nathan played at Easts from 2001-2012 being Club Captain in 2009. Nathan played in 5 lower grade Grand finals during that time, winning 4 in 2002, 2009, 2010 & 2011. Nathan also has 3 children who have come through the juniors program at Bays Rugby. Away from Easts, Nathan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and is currently CEO of ASI Solutions, a national I.T. Systems Integrator.


Giles Woodgate


Giles’ connection with Easts Rugby goes back to 1976, when he played Colts. Two of his three sons played for Easts. One played Colts and the other played Grade. Giles has been a member of the club for some years.  Giles’ professional background is in the area of restructuring and insolvency. He is a chartered accountant and senior partner of Woodgate & Co.


Vince Parelli


Vince first became involved at Easts in the early 80’s. Although his playing career saw him involved in the Sydney sub-district competition he has always been a passionate Easts devotee. As a Chartered Accountant in public practice with over 25 years experience, he was the obvious choice from the board to take on the role as Treasurer.


David Allen


David was appointed to the board at the 2019 AGM. He started his rugby at Bays then came through the Wallaroos, Colts, and then Easts 1st Grade in 1999-2001. David then played professionally overseas for Ulster in Ireland. In 2017 he returned to Sydney and coached the Easts Colts in 2017 and 2018. He is currently the Head of Long/Short Strategies at Plato Investment Management in Sydney.


Kate Vanstone


Kate was appointed to the Board in 2014 with a key responsibility being the relationship between the Senior and the Junior clubs. Kate’s son started playing for Easts Bays in 2013 and Kate jointed the Bays committee at that time. Kate served as Secretary, Vice President and, in 2019, as President. Kate was part of the working committee which drove the formation of the new Easts Junior Beasties club. Kate is currently Vice President of the Easts Junior Beasties board. 



Dominic Remond


Dom is the former General Manager of the Sydney Sixers, CEO Gfinity Esports Australia, and brings a wealth of experience to the club. He has held senior executive positions in the sports and entertainment industries for over 20 years and was a founding member of the Male Champions of Change Sport. Importantly, he has a deep connection and passion for the Beasties, starting with Bays U6 and playing over 100 games with the senior club.


Simon Kneebone


Simon, is a highly experienced and talented coach, developing his skills as a Head Coach and Director of Rugby with-in the Crusaders / Canterbury and New Zealand Rugby systems. He was Head Coach at Christchurch Football Club, the oldest Club in New Zealand, for five successful years before taking on several roles in the Crusaders High Performance Academy and Canterbury Representative program, arguably the premier provisional system in world rugby.


His track record of success is very impressive He was Assistant Coach of the Seattle Seawolves winning the MLR title in 2018. He has also won National Titles with the NZ Māori U18 side, Canterbury (NZ) U19s and in the NZ National Farrah Parmer Cup (NPC). Simon has achieved several coaching qualifications, including World Rugby Level 3 Coaching accreditation, World Rugby Coach Educator and International Rugby Academy – Professional Advanced Coaching accreditation. Simon also represented Canterbury as a player from 1992 – 2002.


Dan England


Dan has a long and proud history at Easts for a young coach. He is a former 1st Grade player who, through early retirement from injury, has focused on coaching and rugby program execution. He has been 2nd Grade Colts coach for the last 2 seasons, Assistant Coach for the NSW and AON Uni 7s since 2019 and Core Rugby Coach at Scots College for the last 5 years.


Alex King


Alex has played for Easts his whole life starting in the U/5's and continues to play lower grades. He was proudly appointed club captain in 2018 and will embark on his fourth and final year in 2021. His role is to support both the board and playing group wherever possible. He enjoys using his experience in marketing to help promote Easts game days and other events.


Andrew Blades


Andrew joined Easts in 2016 and has coached scrummaging across Grade, Colts and Women's teams since that time. During his playing career Andrew played for NSW and Queensland as well as the Wallabies. Following his retirement from playing in 1999 he moved into coaching and has coached with the ACT Brumbies, Newcastle Falcons in the UK, Australian U20s and Wallabies. He has also been involved with School Rugby at Cranbrook, Scots and Joeys.
