Women's XV v Blacktown W 54 - 10
On Saturday the Eastern Suburbs Women’s 1st xv travelled to Blacktown needing to win to lock up a position in the top half of the competition for the rest of the season. Over the next 70 minutes the team produced some of the best rugby played all year, highlighted by a defensive effort on our own line for 15 minutes with no points being scored by the opposition who threw everything at our team. We ran out winners 54-10, with a outstanding game from Courtney Frankel with 4 tries who also this week goes on to represent the Australian Navy v New Zealand Navy, good luck Courtney. It was a true team effort last weekend and with the second half of the season starting next week we play every game at home starting with Randwick on the 20th of July.
