Educating the Future will be holding its first Touch World Cup on the 22nd of February at the Easts Rugby Club. Educating the Future raises funds to construct Pre-schools in Timor-Leste, Australia's second closest neighbour. A predominantly youth populated country, Timor-Leste has been striving to rebuild education infrastructure since it gained independence in 1999, having had roughly 94% of it destroyed during conflict.
The round robin touch competition will run between 12pm and 6pm, followed by a huge party in the club house and a raising of the inaugural trophy. A range of local DJs and bands will be getting the crowd groovy into the evening, closing out what will become a regular day on the calendar.
If you have any questions regarding availability or proceedings, please contact Alec at firstname.lastname@example.org Entrance tickets for players is $30pp, whilst spectators and partiers are $10pp. Everyone attending the day will receive a complementary raffle ticket for a range of prizes which will be presented on the day. We look forward to seeing as many people down there, whether you player or partier.
