Colts Match Reports | Saturday 13th July

Ben Staunton, Director of Colts

1st Colts v Sydney University L 19 - 44

Not the result that we were expecting and I think the scoreline is a bit misleading considering the contest that occurred. This was a real battle and the frustrating aspect was that we had opportunities to put Uni under more pressure and score points but too often we made errors at key moments. We had a good foundation to attack off with really good set piece play but were unable to convert into points. MOM Flynn Kilby.

2nd Colts v Sydney University W 28 - 21

Playing Friday under lights brings a different feel to the games and this was a quality game of footy. It was tough, physical and played with high intensity. We played some quick and smart rugby at times to open a good lead but the game was never totally under our control with us missing so many kicks at goal. This added to the pressure but the boys defended so well and kept Uni at bay. MOM Liam Rayner.

3rd Colts v Sydney University W 35 - 19

With the team selection changing a number times in the week it shows what good depth we have in the club. The boys played so well and were able to score some brilliant team tries. Will Johnson was the captian and he lead by example with so many strong ball carries. The second half display was really impressive with basically an error free half of footy. MOM Will Johnson.
