Colts Match Reports | Easts Colts v Eastwood | 3rd August 2019

Ben Staunton, Director of Colts

1st Colts v Eastwood W 67 - 17

Just the tonic before heading into finals time. After a tough run of fixtures 1st Colts manage to play some highly entertaining rugby at T G Millner. A number of times we were able to hold on to the ball and go through a number of phases and scored some brilliant team tries. Special mention has to go to Blake Rixon who scored 37 points. It was good to see the boys move the ball and attack. Brings us a great challenge against Randwick next week. MOM Blake Rixon

2nd Colts v Eastwood W 48 - 17

A bit of scrappy game which took the 2nds to get going on Saturday but they were able to dust themselves off and get the job done. The introduction of Jobe Brook was one of the main factors in turning the tide and then finally running away with the high scoreline. Hopefully we can nurse some injuries through the finals period and be ready to face Manly on Saturday. MOM Jobe Brook

3rd Colts v Eastwood W 56 - 19

The 3rds played some champagne rugby and yet there were moments where they lost their fizz!! After the season we've had, with only one defeat, finals time is a different ball game as anyone can win it. We have plenty of talent to get the job done and it starts this week against Rats on Sunday. MOM Tom Anderson

4th Colts v Easts 5th Grade L 22 - 26

The 4th Colts played some brilliant rugby against a tougher 5th Grade side this week after their 46 - 19 defeat last week. This was a great challenge and also another way for the Colts and Grade boys to interact at the end of the season. The credit must go to Grade for getting the victory. MOM Jack Hunter
