About our club

Easts Wallaroos is the leading junior rugby club in the Eastern Suburbs and is closely affiliated with the senior club.  Following the merger with Easts McAuley in 2016, we are the only club in the district to field teams from U6s to U16s, putting us in the same position as the strongest junior rugby clubs in Sydney.  We aim to develop in our players a passion for the game and, for those who aspire to playing after school, to provide a pathway to Colts and Grade at Easts.

From U6s to U9s, our teams play in the Minis competition with teams from the Easts and Randwick districts.  From U10s, our teams play in the Sunday and Friday night competitions run by the SJRU, a graded Sydney-wide competition that allows players to play in a team with players of similar ability and experience against well-matched opposition teams.  From the U10s, we also provide the opportunity for players to represent the district at the NSW state championships.  In 2016, 85 of our players represented the district in the NSW state championships; eight players went on to represent Sydney and six players were selected for NSW.  Touring is also a great opportunity for our players; in 2016, the U12s, U13s and U15s went on highly enjoyable tours.

The competition commences in April (with training starting in March) and concludes in early September every year. The club has training on Thursdays from 5:15pm-6:30pm for U11s-U16s and on Wednesdays from 5pm-6pm for U6s-U10s. Training takes place at Easts Rugby Club, O'Sullivan Road, Bellevue Hill and/or Colleagues fields, located on Manion Ave, Rose Bay (a short stroll from the main Easts field).

Training will start on Wednesday 8 March for U6s-U10s and on Thursday 9 March for U11s-U16s.
